Terms and conditions
Consultations
To protect your confidentiality, a counselling agreement stipulating conditions of conduct will be signed at the onset of the first session.
We will have an initial consultation in which I will do an intake assessment. We will then discuss options open to you if you decide that we can work together. We will decide together on the number and frequency of appointments.
Sessions are 50 minutes in duration.
Consultations will be conducted in one of the following ways:
-
In person at my office (from April 2021)
-
Online using encrypted and secure platforms: Skype (voice or video), WhatsApp (voice or video), Google Meet (voice or video) or a telephone call.
Payment
Clients will receive an estimate for projected total sessions at the end of the first session.
Clients will receive an official invoice at the end of each month for the total of sessions done. Payment is due on that day.
Payments can be made using EFT, online through PayPal or cash.
Your name is used as reference.
In the case of non-payment, incidental interest of 2% per month will be charged until payment received.
Cancellations, missed and late sessions
You will be expected to provide at least 24 hours notice if you cannot make an appointment. Exceptions can be made due to severe illness and unforeseen circumstances. It would then be good practice to reschedule your appointment.
If you arrive late for your session, we reserve the right to finish the session at the correct time to make sure that following appointments are not impacted.
If you fail to attend your appointment without any notice, I reserve the right to bill you for the full session.
